Throwing an Epic Tailgate Party is Easy! (Let us show you how)
Autumn welcomes thoughts of pumpkins, apple cider, football, and the World Series! Being in the midst of mascots, grills, and jerseys, we think it’s the perfect time to walk through how to throw an awesome tailgate party! We’re talking stylish decor, refreshing drinks and of course, tasty foods.
First things first - the decor. We’re incorporating pieces of “classic tailgate” with “chic charm.” No need to run out and buy a bunch of items; just grab some kitchen and living room items from inside your home to bring outside!
Throws, pillows, serving trays, and some stylish throw blankets will help create a relaxing feel. Our Fall Mostess box also features a few things that we’ve used for tailgates! Check out this post (click here) to see them in action.
Next, we’re talking drinks and we have the perfect cocktail that men and women will love: The Tailgater. With only three ingredients, you can easily make a large batch ahead of time.
The perfect tailgate party beverage recipe
To whip up our favorite recipe we fondly call "The Tailgater", you’ll need:
- 1 oz tart cherry grenadine
- 1 oz whiskey or rum
- cola (or diet cola) of choice
Combine the first two ingredients with ice and gently stir. Top with cola and you’ve got yourself a tasty Tailgater!

Tailgate Party Snacks To Share
Moving on to food, because let’s be honest, it’s not a tailgate party without food! Beyond grilled meats and dips, one of our favorite tailgating foods is Cranberry Honey Baked Brie.
Cranberry Honey Baked Brie Tailgate Party Appetizer
This sweet and savory appetizer includes:
- brie
- dried cranberries
- walnuts
- honey
- sliced pears
- crackers
To create this treat, preheat the oven to 350 and place the unwrapped brie in a brie baker (or small oven-safe dish). Grab the cranberries and walnuts and top the brie with them. Place on the center rack and bake for 20 minutes. Once they’re done, drizzle with honey (and try not to drool). Top it off by serving with sliced pears and crackers. It’ll be a tailgate hit!
