Top 5 Cocktails for the Spring Season
Spring is here and summer is just around the corner. Fresh ingredients are beginning to hit shelves at our local grocery stores. That means we can finally start picking the best greens, fruits, and flowers to serve p to our guests. We’ve collected our top spring cocktails ranging from simple to elevated. Choose what suits the mood of your party and get ready to entertain!

Mostess Mint Julep
1 tbsp. lavender lemon simple syrup1 oz. bourbon
4-6 mint leaves
1 sprig of mint
2-4 tbsp. cold sparkling water
crushed ice
In a sturdy glass, muddle mint leaves and syrup for 15-20 seconds. Fill glass with crushed ice. Pour bourbon on top of ice. Add a splash of cold sparkling water. Gently stir. Garnish with a sprig of mint and you’re off to the races!
Day Tripper
1.5 oz. vodka.75 oz. sweet tea syrup
.5 oz. fresh lemon juice
3 drops lavender bitters
Fill champagne glass or coupe with chilled sparkling wine. Add 2-3 dashes of lavender bitters and fresh fruit (we recommend blueberries or diced strawberries). For an added touch, use frozen fruits instead of ice. Check out our blog post here if you’d like to learn how to freeze fruit like a pro.
Tonico Fresco
6 oz. sparkling wine
2 oz. lime leaf tonic
½ oz. lemon juice
dried rose petals
In a wine glass, combine all with ice. Garnish with fresh herbs and dried rose petals. Don’t’ have time to mix up a drink? Just pour a chilled glass of rosé or white wine and garnish with rose petals. A simple and fast crowd pleaser!
1.5 tbsp. strawberry jam or preserves
4-5 fresh basil leaves
1 tbsp. dice strawberries
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. agave
1 oz. seltzer
½ cup of ice
Muddle strawberry jam, basil leaves, dice strawberries, lemon juice, agave, and seltzer. Add half cup of ice and shake. Pour into a glass and top with more ice and a splash of seltzer.
Mostess Tip: Convert this to a cocktail by adding 1.5 oz. of vodka before muddling. Shake, serve, and top with seltzer. Want to upgrade your cocktail? Strain into a coupe, top with prosecco, and garnish with basil and strawberry slices.
Blueberry Thyme Refresher
¼ cup of frozen blueberries
½ tsp. lemon juice
1/3 tsp. lime juice
2-3 sprigs of thyme
¼ cup lemonade
1 oz. vodka
1 cup of ice
seltzer
In a glass, layer frozen blueberries, thyme, and ice. Squeeze fresh lemon and lime juice over the ice. Pour vodka over ice and top with lemonade and a dash of seltzer. Stir and garnish with thyme. Enjoy!
Mostess Tip: Make this a non-alcoholic mocktail by substituting vodka for extra lemon juice and a half teaspoon of agave.
