Beautiful Pancake Bar Ideas for A Cozy Fall Gathering
DIY (do-it-yourself) bars are extra trendy these days and it’s obvious why - they are so much fun! From s'mores bars to candy bars to taco bars, guests love the creative touch and play of a classic bar-style meal!
With autumn colors and cool breezes among us, gatherings are beginning to be held inside homes where it’s nice and cozy. Here at Mostess, we thought this season would be the perfect time to create a fall breakfast or brunch bar: a pancake bar!

What is a pancake bar, you ask? Only the best way to brunch! With a bar or table set up to display yummy pancakes, toppings, syrups, and more, guests will love getting to choose their favorites to make the perfect plate of brunchy goodness.
The extra creative person in your life can go to town trying new “pancake concoctions” while the more traditional guest can stick with more simple (but still as tasty) fluffy pancakes.
To set up your pancake bar, we suggest starting with some of the simple food items listed below!
Elegant and Simple Pancake Bar Ideas
- Plain Pancakes
- Pumpkin Maple Pancakes (Get the Recipe Here)
- Butter
- Organic Maple Syrup
- White or milk chocolate chips
- Home Made Granola
- Berries
- Cinnamon
- Fresh Figs
- Home Made Organic Jam
- Fresh Warm Crescent Rolls
- Crispy Bacon
You can go simple with the topping options or you can provide a wide variety (different flavors of syrup, different types of butter, whipped cream, honey, etc.) to get the creative wheels of your guest’s spinning. Some guests may even enjoy bits and pieces of bacon on their pancakes for a savory-sweet twist!

Before placing the plates, foods, and beverages on the bar, layout our Fall Box custom made Kraft Table Runner. Grab a dark marker or chalk pen to write a unique title on the runner or use it to label the food items on the bar (ex: pumpkin maple pancakes) so that guests know what they are choosing from.
When thinking about the display, get creative! Full-sized pancakes or mini pancakes will look great stacked on top of a cake stand. Use a festive toothpick to secure trios of mini pancakes and berries and you have yourself some pancake-kabobs that will be easy to move from bar-to-plate. Mini pancakes are also great for the kiddos!

Don’t forget to showcase the stoneware! The Mini Stoneware Pitcher is perfect for pouring maple syrup. Heat it in the microwave prior to dining and your guests will love that small and tasty touch. Grab your Stoneware Carafe and fill it with juice or use it as a vase for fresh fall flowers. The carafe, along with the cake stand, will bring height to your pancake bar for a visually appealing display.

The Denim Heirloom Wrap is the perfect last-minute touch to your display - holding fresh warm rolls for guests to enjoy (don’t forget the jam)! Additional touches to the bar can range from adding more autumn decor and color to adding more fruits, tasty sides, beverages, or treats.

You will enjoy styling and hosting this pancake bar just as much as your guests will love being a part of it! The beautiful thing about DIY bars is that there’s no right or wrong way to do it, so get creative and have a good time! Would you love to receive some of the display items we mentioned?
