4 Tips on How to Host a Galentine's Day Party at Home
Happy February! Can't believe we're already one month into 2018. But what this does mean is that Valentine's Day is just around the corner.
Are you a big Valentine's Day person? Whether or not it's your thing, what we are all about, and we're sure many of you are, too, is Galentine's Day! We love celebrating the wonderful women in our life, and this is the perfect time to do so.
In terms of Galentine's Day, we love the idea of having a party at home. And here are four tips on how to host a Galentine's Day party this year at your home!
4 Tips on Hosting an At-Home Galentine's Day Party
1. Get creative with your snacks
Yes, any sort of snack is always enjoyable, but when hosting a party like this, we like the idea of "spicing up" our snacks. So, instead of regular pecans, we opt for rosemary pecans. They are easy to make, and elevate your party just a bit more.
2. Offer some indulgent items
With any party, we believe in indulging. Because we're not throwing parties or going to parties every single day, when we do get together to celebrate, we might indulge more than we do on a daily basis! We love making homemade whipped cream. It's not hard to do, and your guests will really appreciate the extra effort (and the deliciousness!).
3. Try a DIY Bar
Of course, what party is complete without cocktails (or mocktails for those who don't / can't drink)?! And it adds a fun, interactive element if you have a DIY bar or bar cart set up where people can make their own drinks. Include a little "how to" card on the bar to help guide them as they make their drink. The classic martini is always a good choice in our book!
4. Put a unique spin on your main course
In terms of your main food at the party, think outside the box a little bit. If your party is in the evening, you might automatically think to offer dinner type foods, and same if it's in the morning - you might think to offer breakfast / brunch. However, switch things up! If your party is in the evening, make it a pancake party, for example. Offer breakfast foods. I mean who doesn't love breakfast for dinner? No foods are off limits! And, of course, you want them to be Instagrammable :)
